Welcome to Endura, a pioneering web based platform dedicated to transforming the landscape of sustainability data in Africa. Developed by the FirstRand Group in partnership with leading experts, Endura serves as a digital exchange for unlisted companies' sustainability data, addressing a critical gap in the availability of such information.
Our mission
Endura was born out of a recognition of the pressing need for credible sustainability data, especially within the private sector and the African continent. Endura identified financial institutions are requiring detailed sustainability data for internal processes (credit assessment, reporting, and compliance). However, this information was not readily available in a useable format or of a quality that could be used to inform strategic decisions. Furthermore, the companies providing sustainability data were at different stages of their sustainability journey, and facing fatigue from repeatedly reporting the same data to multiple stakeholders.
Why Endura?
The name Endura evokes the spirit of endurance, reflecting our commitment to long-term sustainability. We believe that maintaining sustainable practices over time is essential for creating lasting change. Our logo features a butterfly and a ripple effect, symbolizing the profound impact of small, persistent actions. The butterfly effect illustrates how minor actions can lead to significant changes over time, while the ripple effect signifies how sustainable actions can create expanding circles of positive influence far beyond their initial impact.
Our Solution
Endura was developed as a central repository for sustainability data that caters to local African requirements. This innovative platform allows companies to enter their sustainability data once and share it with multiple stakeholders as needed. By simplifying the data reporting process, it caters to the needs of a diverse set of companies including unlisted companies of any size from small to larger corporates. Corporates, banks and investment managers can also benefit from our platform by viewing sustainability insights across multiple divisions, portfolios, franchisees and their supply chain.
